How we work together

Our Working Terms

This page isn't about rules — it's about setting the right expectations together. When we're clear upfront about what a service actually includes, how we deliver it, and what not to expect from it, your companion is the one who wins.

A Service Is What It Promises to Be

Around the world, boarding means one thing: a companion cared for in a safe, comfortable, supervised environment, with a defined scope. Here, that expectation often gets blurred — "bathe them daily, play with them every minute, send photos constantly, let me watch a live camera" — as if several separate services should all sit inside one boarding fee. Let's be clear from the start, so your expectations are realistic and your companion gets the right care.

There's also the other side of the coin: around the world dogs are mostly kept alone in kennels, often relieving themselves where they lie. With us it's different — being hosted in our cage-free VIP rooms and lounges, in a social environment, is a privilege. So while some expectations are exaggerated, much of what we offer isn't even standard elsewhere.

Example: What Boarding Is — and Isn't

✅ What the service really covers

  • A safe, clean and comfortable place to stay
  • Regular feeding, fresh water, hygiene
  • Safe rest and a proper sleep routine
  • Daily supervision, basic care and health/behavior monitoring

🏡 How we deliver it at PatiLee

  • Not a kennel — cage-free VIP rooms and lounges, monitored by security cameras
  • Litter for cats, pads for small companions — per their existing training, no request needed
  • Weather permitting, play and fresh-air breaks in our indoor-outdoor gardens
  • Weekly, free social media sharing

⛔ What not to expect from it

  • Full-bath-level cleanliness — we hand your companion over with a basic checkout tidy-up; a full bath is a separate service
  • A daily personalized photo/video stream — a separate, paid service (weekly sharing is free)
  • 24/7 personal live camera — cameras are for facility safety, not personal streaming

None of this means less care for your companion — it means more accurate care. Want more attention? Our VIP care and personalized media packages exist for exactly that.

Paid Elsewhere, Free at PatiLee

At many facilities worldwide, the following are charged separately. We offer them to our guests free of charge — but we'd like you to know their value.

🎁 Paid elsewhere, free here

  • Individual play and exercise
  • Garden breaks — while the world averages about two outings, suitable companions go out as they please, weather permitting, in our indoor-outdoor gardens
  • Indoor cleanup caused by companions without toilet training

💳 Separate, paid services

  • Checkout bath and grooming
  • Brushing, de-matting, massage
  • Personalized photo/video — not a standard service anywhere; we do it only in very special cases, on request and for a fee (weekly sharing is free)

You can see the paid services in our price list and add them at booking.

What Our Other Services Cover

Grooming & Care: covers bathing and drying; brushing, de-matting and massage are optional add-ons. We only perform hygiene trimming — such as removing hair that gets into the eyes, addressing your companion's natural needs. We are firmly against full/aesthetic shaving: unless there is a medical or sanitary necessity, it is cruel to the dog, and we do not do it.

Daycare: supervised socialization and rest through the day; not non-stop one-on-one play, but a balanced day.

Training: a dog-specific program that takes time; it is not a "done in a few days" service. Some early weight change is normal due to the exercise and feeding adjustments.

Pool: supervised, dog-only access; not every dog is expected to enjoy swimming — participation depends on temperament.

Never Accepted at Our Facility

For the peace of every companion that enters our door and all the guests inside, we make no exceptions in the following cases. These are world standards; they exist not to judge, but to protect everyone.

  • Animals without a current vaccination record. No animal is admitted without a vaccine card.
  • Un-neutered cats, or cats that mark heavily with scent. They disturb the other guests, so they are not accepted. (We have no such condition for dogs — even though most facilities worldwide decline them, we host un-neutered dogs.)
  • Newborn puppies and animals needing medical follow-up or with an unclear health status. In these cases we refer you to a veterinarian first.

Behavioral Issues

We do not accept dogs with aggression, a history of biting people or other animals, or a serious threat risk into standard boarding. We host such dogs only within our training service, in a completely separate area and under a trainer's supervision. The right answer is not to turn these dogs away, but to place them in a suitable training and care structure.

Likewise, animals with serious adjustment problems — extreme anxiety, constant barking/howling, destructive behavior, self-harm, obsessive or dominant behavior — are assessed separately, for both their own welfare and the safety of other guests. Where it isn't a good fit, we tell the family honestly and, if needed, guide them to a more appropriate solution.

Our aim is not to judge; it is to guarantee that every companion who enters our door spends time in a safe, calm and predictable environment. If you're unsure whether your dog fits these profiles, talk to us openly before booking — we'll make the right decision together.

Bathing, Hygiene & Checkout

At checkout we hand your companion over with a basic checkout tidy-up; but please don't think of it as a full bath. Boarding does not include bathing. During a stay — as with any living creature — your companion's coat may naturally pick up odor or dirt; we are under no obligation to remove that free of charge at full-bath level.

For a full clean you have two options: use our paid checkout bath, or wash your companion at home. This isn't because our hygiene standard is low; it's because bathing is a separate, dedicated service. For long stays, we recommend planning the checkout bath from the start.

Medication & Special Care Instructions

If your companion has medication or a special care routine, leave your written instructions; our team will make every effort to follow them. But let's be clear: we do not accept responsibility for administering medication.

When medication tracking is critical and vital, your companion's need is not only physical; during that time they need you emotionally too. In such sensitive situations, we recommend not leaving your companion for boarding and keeping them with you — a companion whose health hangs on a fine balance is best supported by you.

Mutual Expectations

A good partnership goes both ways. Here is our side, and what we ask of you.

🤝 Our commitment

  • Not a kennel setup; a social, cage-free environment under trained staff supervision
  • Fixed, transparent, non-negotiable pricing
  • Time and attention per companion, not headcount
  • Immediate, honest communication in an emergency

✅ What we ask of you

  • Share vaccination/health history and behavioral history honestly
  • Trust the care/training plan our team recommends
  • Pay the full service fee in advance, before the service begins (prices exclude VAT/KDV)
  • Ask us anything — we're open about how we work

⛔ What we don't accept

  • Haggling, "friend pricing" or status-based privilege
  • Neglect/mistreatment of a pet; constant overriding of our team's expertise
  • Prioritizing a social media shot over actual care
  • Hiding health records; failing payment obligations

None of this is about judgment; it's about the peace of every companion that comes through our door. For the full legal rights and obligations, please also read our Terms of Service.
